For sale is this extremely fine quality, Museum worthy antique Persian Qajar solid silver tray. The tray has been hand chased with the finest detail, to the highest quality. In the centre, there is a a scene of a Persian King, seated on his throne.
He is being fanned by one of his servants. The script next to the scene reads "Takhte Jamshid". Takhte Jamshid is located in the ancient Persian town of Perspolis, which still stands today. Just look at the level of detail and the shading. Around this scene, there are portraits of various Persian Kings.
Next to their portraits, is their names, carefully chased. The Kings include: Farokhzad, Khosrow Parviz, Ardeshir, Ardeshir the Second and Ghobaad.The hand chasing is among the finest you will ever see on any piece of Persian silver. The magnificent detail to the facial details is top class. Apart from these magnificent portraits, there are also breathtaking hand chased scrolling floral work all over the tray.
