The inkwell edges, the bottom and both ends of the case are intricately engraved and fire-gilded in typical Ottoman fashion. 30 cm (11.75 inches) long. Weight : 460 gr (1.01 lbs/pounds; 16.22 oz). Marked in two places with "GN" mark. I believe these are Armenian maker's initials as they're in Classical Latin.
Similar marks are shown in Garo Kurkman "Ottoman Silver Marks" book. In good original antique condition with some minor dings and a few slight dents and scratches on front side and the top. Both the lid and side latch open and close perfectly. Please see all images for details.
