Ottoman yatagan sword Ottoman empire, 19th century

Antique Ottoman yatagan sword - 19th early 20th century. Beautiful blade with a maker's mark etched one side (partially erased).

The handle is made of embossed silver plated metal over wood. Strong and solid, no movement. The 2 parts of silver plated metal decorating the blade are holding strongly but needs to be welded (see pictures 9 and 10). Total length 65cm (25 3/4in). Blade length 50cm (19 3/4in).
