Very Rare Antique Persian Solid Silver Bachelors Teapot; Qajar era c1910. Skilfully hand made and rare Shirazi piece. It depicts a number of interesting scenes in repousse and is hand chased all over with intricate flowers and foliage. These pieces are almost never marked but I guarantee that its solid silver of a good purity, probably the usual Persian standard of 84% which is similar to the Imperial Russian standard and purer than most continental silver. It is in very good antique condition with an attractive all over patination which I wouldnt like to polish. Tactile and beautifully proportioned with a length from handle to spout of 177mm and a good weight of 316g.
