Rare Marsh Arab dagger with solid silver scabbard - Southern Iraq, 19th century. The scabbard is wood covered with solid silver and Turquoise stones inlaid. Handle is made of ox horn. There is an inscription on the scabbard, probably the maker's name or the owner's name.

Good condition, strong and solid, no movement. Some turquoise stones of the scabbard are missing. Length 40,5cm (16 in). Length without scabbard 36cm (14 1/4 in). Blade length 21cm (8 1/4 in).
