A fine, attractive and scarce ancient Islamic earthenware bowl with sgraffito decoration and green and black glaze over a yellow slip. Bamiyan ware, Central Asia, 11th to 12th century. 15cms width, 7.5cms high Intact. All the glaze is original; it is not touched up. A little glaze has flaked away. The vast majority of early Islamic painted bowls have some restoration and repainting. I will provide my usual COA with a lifetime guarantee of authenticity.
