Silver Omani Headdress With Triangular Ear Ornaments - MISHILL - Sur & Dhofar. The headdress was usually worn as a bridal jewellery and thereafter kept for special ceremonies. The central ring rests on top of the head with the decorative triangles hanging down the back over the hair. The other two chains fall to the base of the ears and the chain joining the ornamental pieces would have been positioned at the back of the neck so that the large silver triangle was hanging at shoulder level.
