Super Fine Quality Antique Persian Solid Silver Box. Skillfully hand made it features extremely intricate all over hand chased details incorporating animals, arabesques, scrolls and flowers and a superb hunting scene within an elaborate cartouche. In excellent clean condition it bears two markings to the interior. One is the artists signature and the other consists of the arabic numerals for 84 indicating the usual Persian silver standard of 84% which is similar to the old Imperial Russian standard. Good size, very tactile and beautifully proportioned at 152mm x 83mm x 27mm.

Its made from a very thick gauge of solid silver and is super heavy at 306g or 10.8oz. An exquisite Quality piece of Antique Persian solid silver and superb example of Islamic Art.
