Beautiful example of the Ottoman Jambiya dagger dating from the 18th to 19th century period, having large solid piece grip of traditional form, undamaged but seams to be missing two small caps one on each side of the guard.

Mounted with a curved double edged blade having central ridged reinforcement and showing lovely watered patterns of the Wootz damascus steel, exhibiting nice light gray patina throughout with few small areas of very fine pitting. Solid and intact overall, comes with its original silver heavy scabbard decorated with floral scroll work and showing few light dents and light wear consistent with the age.
