Very nice and unusual example of the Ottoman Shamshir saber in military mounts, most likely an officer's piece of restrained pattern and limited decorations, nevertheless having solid silver mounts and fine grips, leather covered wood scabbard still has original thick braided cord attached for wear. Mounted with a very fine Wootz blade showing active watered patterns and exhibiting nice light gray patina throughout.
