Very nice example of the Ottoman Khanjar dagger dating from around mid 1800s or possibly earlier, having solid bull horn grip of traditional form with few minor bug-bite chips and light wear consistent with the age. Wearing a lovely quality broad double edged blade with central ridged reinforcement, both sides of lower blade with beautiful heavy gold damascene art work showing minimal wear and remaining in great condition, the rest of the blade with light patina and active watered patterns of Wootz damascus steel. Solid overall and with its original leather over wood scabbard showing wear and with the tip lacking.
