VERY RARE BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE PERSIAN QAJAR ISLAMIC HAND ENAMELED DISH C1840's

For sale we have this very rare antique Persian hand painted enamel dish dating from early - mid 1800s during the Qajar era. A beautiful combination of colours have been used with a calming blue background used in conjunction with a soft shade of salmon to create breathtaking portraits, floral work and arabesque motifs. Even the reverse has been enameled with floral work. It is very rare to find enameled pieces in such good condition.

Due to the fragile nature of the enamel, nearly always there will be damage and missing enamel work, however this plate is in excellent condition for its age as you can see. Only slight cracking on the surface which is normal for a piece this age.
