Vintage Antique Middle Eastern Wall Tapestry Prayer Rug Gold Black with Fringe

Vintage prayer rug or tapestry. I do not know the age nor the origin of this tapestry. The design appears to be embroidered / stitched onto the rug. It measures 25 1/2 inches x 40 inches. A bit of the fringe is missing. There is also wear to the edges, and the rug could use cleaning. Please examine all photos, as pictures are part of the description.
